Pinterest

Pinterest is one of those websites that we have found you either love or hate.  We personally LOVE Pinterest.  It is a great website that allows you to save all your bookmarks in one area while being able to network with others.  Pinterest is great for sharing ideas, whether they be for professional things (lesson plans, business ideas) or personal things (party ideas, recipes, home decor, etc.).  It is a relatively easy website to navigate and work, and pinning things is even easier with buttons for all of the different browsers (Safari, Chrome, IE, Firefox).  One of the greatest things about Pinterest is that it can increase your social media footprint, and it can be confusing on how to do that, but upon Googling we found several "How to make your Pins do well" articles that guide someone new in how to grow their presence on Pinterest and social media.

Both of us have worked with Pinterest (it took me, Rachel, a bit longer to join in the craze when it started 5 years ago, but you can't stop me now!) so we already had a good impression of the tool.  However, as we have used it over its life, we have seen new additions (some good, some bad) and seen how it has become guide for everything.  It is the first place we go when looking for a recipe, a party idea, or a how-to do something.  Chances are we will always find something to help.

Pinterest aligns to both of our true north values.  Pinterest has a lot of ambition and has grown tremendously over the last 5 or so years since it came out.  The founders have worked hard to grow Pinterest into the networking social media powerhouse it is.  On the same note, Pinterest aligns with compassion because it has some pretty powerful stories on there and the users are compassionate.  By sharing the stories on there, it helps to keep that compassion going.
